Laura Smith earned her Bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Duke University in 1998, and her Juris Doctor, cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Northwestern University School of Law in 2002, where she was an Associate Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review.
Laura's areas of practice include all aspects of real estate law, including the representation of lenders, developers, management companies, and other corporate clients in commercial real estate transactions, leases, financing, land use issues, and related business matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Laura was a real estate associate at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP where her practice included the representation of lenders in mortgage origination for commercial mortgage-backed securitization programs.
