Jessica Lingertat earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in 1994 and her Juris Doctor in 1997 from the Marquette University Law School, where she was an editor of the Marquette Law Review.
Jessica's areas of practice include all aspects of real estate law, including the representation of lenders, developers, management companies, and other corporate clients in commercial real estate transactions, leases and financing and with respect to development issues and related business matters. She is active in the acquisition, financing, development, and operation of a variety of commercial properties, including office, industrial, and residential projects, with an emphasis on homebuilding and construction finance.
Jessica was featured in a profile of local real estate attorneys in the January 14, 2002 issue of The Illinois Real Estate Journal.
Representative Matters
- Counsel for Regional and National Homebuilders in the acquisition, entitlement, financing and development of numerous residential communities in the Greater Chicago Metropolitan Area.
- Counsel for private lender in connection with large construction loans for Golf Course Project and Interval-Interest Resort Project.
- Representation of client in the acquisition and financing of retail portion of Chicago Loop property which was the subject of a vertical subdivision separating ownership of office and retail elements of existing building.
- Representation of client in refinance and subsequent sale of interest in Chicago Loop office building.
- Representation of multiple clients in the acquisition, sale and refinance of various commercial properties, including hotel, industrial and apartment projects.
- Counsel for mid-sized lenders in connection with construction and term mortgage loans.
